Igor Berkhin born in 1968 in Donetsk, now lives in Israel.
He graduated in Mathematics in 1991 at Donetsk State University, then USSR
Fluent in Russian, English. Basic in French, Spanish, Italian.
Igor Berkhin has been practicing Buddhist meditation for over thirty years.
He has more than twelve years of experience teaching secular mindfulness to a broad range of audiences such as universities, yoga centers, and within the IT industry.
He created an on-line course «28 days of meditation» for the Russian edition of Yoga Journal which immediately attracted almost 7000 participants.
Since 2012, he’s been annually teaching a special course «Basics of Meditation for Psychologists and Psychotherapists» for the students of Moscow Institute of Psychoanalysis, the 1st course on meditation for Russian college students.
He also taught to a group of teachers from the Moscow Gestalt Institute. Besides specialized courses for yoga practitioners, psychologists etc. Igor Berkhin is providing some special programs such as «Cognitive Introspection» for phenomenologically exploring one's mind from the 1st person perspective; «Freedom of Mind» for detecting and neutralizing psychological manipulations; «Mindful Thinking» for integrating mindful presence with an intellectual activity.
In 2016, he became a cofounder and speaker at the first international & interdisciplinary conference ‘Crystal Mind’ on mindfulness, awareness and secular meditation held in Russia.
He is also one of the cofounders of the Association of Russian-speaking Mindfulness Teachers (ARKO).
In summer 2016, he presented meditation at the Moscow Urbanistic Forum organized by the Mayor of Moscow and then at the forum of the Agency of Strategic Initiatives patronized by the President of Russia.
Igor Berkhin gave courses and retreats in more than 20 countries including the UK, Italy, Switzerland, Israel, Germany, France.
